Glucojel
Used originally by diabetics suffering insulin shock (very low blood sugar) and needing a rapid boost. Diabetics carry this dextrose gel in case their blood sugar gets too low. The gel dissolve in a person’s mouth and instantly boosts blood sugar levels.
The market has expanded to include sportsmen and athletes who need an energy boost during competition or a quick recovery.
This strawberry flavoured product, is also widely used by first aid personnel (ambulances) in the medical services to counter accident shock. The soft gel format permits application to unconscious patients.
